The 12th of October of Itauguá triumphs over R.I. 3 Corrales with a score of 3-1
The 12th of October of Itauguá was strong in their Luis Salinas stadium and defeated R.I. 3 Corrales by a score of 3-1 on Sunday, in the final match of the 2019 Intermedia Division.
Víctor Ávalos scored two goals and Juan Lolo Abente scored one for the Itaugüeño team.
With this result, Daniel Farrar's team, who took charge of the team less than a month ago, secured their promotion and will play again in the highest category of our football starting from 2020.
The last time the Itaugua Globo was in the Primera Division was in 2014. In 2015 they played in the Intermedia Division and had a terrible campaign which led them to descend to the third category (Primera División B), where they played until 2018, the season in which they had a great campaign leading the standings almost exclusively, achieving the title and promotion to the Intermedia Division in the penultimate round.
And in this 2019, in their return to the Intermedia Division, they had a great campaign again, finishing second behind the champion Guaireña, and will once again compete with the big teams next season.
The Itaugua team confirmed their return to the Primera Division.

Guaireña is the champion
Guaireña, who secured their promotion last week by defeating Fernando de la Mora, drew 0-0 against Atyrá this Sunday and thus won the title of the 2019 Intermedia Division.
Corrales and Ovetense are relegated
On the other hand, R.I. 3 Corrales, who lost against "12" and Ovetense, who lost 4-2 against Fernando, join Caaguazú as the teams that are relegated.
