Ash Ketchum is the champion of the Pokémon League after two decades. The achievement of this character, who many already considered a failure, has not gone unnoticed for Junichi Masuda, the composer and director of the Pokémon video games.
From his official Twitter account, Junichi congratulated the main character of Pokémon after winning the Alola League in the last episode of Pokemon: Sun and Moon.
The grand final took place between Ash's Twilight Lycanroc and Gladio's Midnight Lycanroc. Both creatures had a fierce battle, which ended in favor of Pallet Town after Ash's Lycanroc sent his rival flying off the field.
Throughout Pokémon, Ash Ketchum participated in seven Pokémon League tournaments. It took 22 years for him to achieve his goal since he left his home to start his career as a trainer.
Junichi has participated in almost all the main series Pokémon games. Masuda served as the composer of Pokémon Red and Blue and was responsible for the game's iconic score, which was adapted for the Pokémon anime series.
