Transfer Rumors: Higuaín and Zaniolo Swap Between Juventus and AS Roma

According to Calciomercato, Juventus and AS Roma are reportedly negotiating a possible swap deal between Gonzalo Higuaín and Nicolò Zaniolo. The 19-year-old Italian is a primary target for the Vecchia Signora, who aims to continue their dominance in Serie A.

On the other hand, Roma would acquire an experienced striker. However, it remains to be seen what will happen with Higuaín, as Maurizio Sarri seems to want the 31-year-old forward in his squad. The Italian coach got the best out of Higuaín during their time together at Napoli, as well as during their time in Chelsea.

According to the aforementioned source, it seems likely that the deal will go through because Higuaín would not have many opportunities in Turin. Despite having the trust of Sarri, it is almost impossible for him to compete head-to-head with the true offensive leaders of Juventus.

Corriere dello Sport suggests that Roma would be willing to pay 12M€ to secure the loan of Higuaín, who has already demonstrated his potential in Serie A. It is true that the Argentinean had a challenging season at Chelsea, but he could bounce back in one of the best leagues in European football.
