Last news: Gonzalo Peillat and Agustín Mazzilli decided to step away from the Argentine Men's Hockey Team.
The figure and top scorer of Los Leones published a letter without explaining in detail the reasons for their departure.
Yesterday afternoon, Peillat made another post where he extensively recounts the events that led him to resign from the team, which are related to the resignation and rehiring of Carlos Retegui, who had stated that he no longer had the strength to continue as the team's coach.
"During the trip to Malaysia, we had repeated meetings with the President of the Confederation, Miguel Grasso, in which he informed us that their decision was that Retegui would not be the coach or the Head Coach. On March 23, through social media, we learned about his hiring in both roles," Peillat stated in his communication.
"Without knowing if this was planned or the result of political maneuvering, Retegui returns with a double role without explanations, which demands much more work, energy, and time, which is why he had resigned weeks ago. Our step aside is because we were betrayed, lied to our faces, disrespected, and left exposed to an unmanageable situation," the Hacha concluded.
