Cienciano club from Cusco announced through their official social media the renewal of the director and former goalkeeper of the Peruvian National Football Team, Óscar Ibáñez.
Through a publication on the X platform (formerly Twitter), the imperial team announced that they reached an agreement with the coach to extend his contract until 2024.
"NEW SEASON, SAME PASSION. We build 2024 from today, under the leadership of our Technical Director, Óscar Ibáñez", reads the tweet accompanied by an image of Óscar Ibáñez.
As it is recalled, Ibáñez joined the Cusco team in September of this year, replacing Gerardo Ameli. Despite not securing a spot in the Copa Sudamericana, the board reaffirmed their trust in Ibáñez to lead the team in 2024.
