Gimnasia failed to take advantage of the opportunities they had in Santa Fe and ended up with nothing (0-1), perhaps undeservedly. The team managed to create a bit more than in other games, but their lack of aim condemned them. The mens sana ended with one player less due to Maxi Coronel's expulsion, almost at the end.

The albiazul came out at the Brigadier López with a new formation of three defenders; Lorenzo Faravelli close to Fabián Rinaudo in the middle and two wing-backs like Bonifacio and Colazo. In front of them, Brahian Alemán and Nicolás Dibble stood, while Franco Niell served as the lone striker.

And with this formation, pressing high and controlling the ball a bit more than the home team, the team had the clearest chances of the first half.

The first chance was in Faravelli's feet but the number 8 shot too weak when he had everything to score. Colazo played a good through ball to the Rosario-born player, who took it at the edge of the area but had a poor finish and the ball ended up in Domínguez's hands.

In a counterattack, Gimnasia could also have broken the deadlock, but Dibble opted for individuality with a shot from distance and once again Domínguez saved it.

The albiazul occupied the spaces well, had an intelligent tactical approach and despite some isolated shots from the Sabalero, they were better than their opponent.

A demonstration of this was the double chance they had in the 27th minute and missed in an incredible way. First, it was wasted by Dibble, who shot to the middle from almost the penalty spot after a pass from Niell, and then after the rebound given by the goalkeeper, Faravelli failed again from a slightly more uncomfortable angle.

The red and black team only managed to create danger towards the end of the first half, with a low and off-target shot from Correa.

PAID DEARLY FOR THE MISTAKES

In the second half, Gimnasia came out with the same proposal, playing upfront and looking to hurt Colón through combined play. With the creation of Alemán and the mobility offered by Dibble, who lacked finesse to finish what he started, Sava's team hovered around the opponent's area.

However, what the Lobo couldn't score in the opposing goal, they paid for in their own. Because after a play from Fritzler that Martín Arias blocked low, Correa appeared on the rebound and scored the 1-0 for the Santa Fe team.

Sava tried to straighten the course by bringing on Pereyra for Bonifacio, moving Oreja to mark on the right wing, and also tried with the entrance of Barrales for Alemán, who went from better to worse in the game due to discomfort and after making some mistakes, the coach decided to replace him.

The number 9 came into action with a header that hit a defender's hand and should have been a penalty, but referee Espinoza decided to ignore it.

Finally, the youth player Ramírez had a few minutes, coming in for Faravelli but did not get too involved in the game.

At 42 minutes, Franco Niell had a new clear chance to equalize, but the forward missed the goal from an unbeatable position after Guanini brought it down in a corner.

For the ending, there was the expulsion of Maximiliano Coronel, who saw the second yellow card (the first was unfair for alleged delay) and left the field before time.

After five minutes of added time, the Lobo fell in Santa Fe and once again suffered from their lack of goals, although this time they had chances to score. Thus, the unbeaten record under Facundo Sava's management, which included one win and two draws, came to an end.
