After his participation in the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Tongan Pita Taufatofua is already thinking about a new sport for Tokyo 2020.
"I mentioned before that I will possibly seek a third sport for my personal development. It would be something related to water," explained the athlete.
34-year-old Taufatofua competed in taekwondo in Rio 2016 and in cross-country skiing in Pyeongchang, where he finished third to last on Friday, after qualifying shortly before the event in a race in Iceland.
"I would like to find something in which I qualify earlier than two weeks before the Olympics. That gave us many challenges and a lot to do in a short time," he said.
Taufatofua is known worldwide not so much for his sporting achievements, but because he paraded with his bare torso covered in coconut oil both in the heat of Rio and in the icy opening of Pyeongchang.
