The world's best tennis players
The Billie Jean King Cup Finals 2023 will bring together the best women's tennis players in the world next week in Seville. The Estadio de la Cartuja will host the final phase of the Women's Tennis World Cup from November 7th to 12th, in which Spain, Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the United States will compete to be crowned world champions. A tournament in which they will receive the best care thanks to Quirónsalud, Official Provider of Medical Services.
Specifically, a team of professionals led by Dr. Ángel Ruiz Cotorro, Director of Clínica Tenis Teknon, belonging to the Quirónsalud Group, will coordinate with the competition's medical services for any healthcare assistance that the players, the organization, or the attending public may need. Likewise, Hospital Quirónsalud Sagrado Corazón will be the reference center for any diagnostic tests and necessary healthcare for the detection of possible injuries.
Quirónsalud has consolidated its commitment to tennis health in recent years. In addition to being responsible for the Medical Services of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET), in the last three editions of the Davis Cup Finals held in Spain, it has participated as the Official Provider of Medical Services, and since 2019 it has been the Official Medical Service of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.
Likewise, for more than two decades, it has collaborated with the Mutua Madrid Open Tennis tournament, and has also been present as the Official Medical Service in the last editions of other major tournaments held in our country, such as the Open Banc Sabadell - Conde de Godó Trophy, the ATP 250 Gijón Open, the ATP Tour Challenger in Girona, Els Gorchs, El Espinar, Seville, and Málaga Open; the MAPFRE Spanish Team Tennis Championship-Copa Orange, the Ibercaja Ciudad de Zaragoza ITF, the Open Comunidad de Madrid, among others.
In the same way, the Group collaborates in multiple events and sports disciplines because sports is a field that, in addition to being related to health in both disease prevention and overall quality of life, reflects a series of values with which Quirónsalud identifies in its way of working: discipline, spirit of improvement, and continuous improvement.
That is why it is also the Medical Service of the MotoGP World Championship, the Official Medical Provider of the Spanish Basketball Clubs Association (acb) in all its competitions, and the Official Medical Provider of the Spanish women's and men's handball teams, in addition to collaborating with various football, basketball, handball, and rugby clubs in our country.
Likewise, in recent years, it has taken care of the health of important sports events such as the EDP Seville Half Marathon, the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana, the Barcelona Half Marathon, the Behobia/San Sebastián race, the Madrid Premier Padel, or the last women's EuroBasket held in Spain in 2021, among others.
