Chelsea officially confirm Michy Batshuayi move to Borussia Dortmund

Chelsea have officially confirmed the loan move of Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi to Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season.

Michy Batshuayi's departure coincides with the signing of Olivier Giroud from Arsenal, who will be the regular replacement and direct competition for Spanish striker Álvaro Morata.

Michy Batshuayi, 24, scored 19 goals in 53 matches for Chelsea. His most important performances include scoring the winning goal against West Bromwich Albion in May 2017, which secured the league title for Conte's side, and his goal in stoppage time against Atletico Madrid in September of that year, which allowed Chelsea to defeat them at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Michy Batshuayi joins Borussia Dortmund after the German club sold Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal for £56 million.
