North and South Korea Form Joint Hockey Team for Winter Olympics
The governments of North Korea and South Korea have announced that they will form a joint women's hockey team and will parade together during the Winter Olympics, which will take place from February 9 to 26 in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

This will be the third time that athletes from both countries will parade together with a single flag at the opening ceremony of an Olympic event. It will also be the first time that they will form a joint team for an Olympic competition.
Sydney 2000
On September 15, 2000, was the first time that athletes from South Korea and North Korea paraded together under the same flag in an Olympic event.
Park Jung-chul, a North Korean judoka, and Chung Eun-soon, a South Korean basketball player, carried the unified flag of Korea.
Athens 2004
For the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the Koreas decided to parade again under the same flag.
The representative for South Korea was Min Jung Ku, a volleyball player, while for North Korea, it was the official Song Ho Kim.
Turin 2006
The unified flag of Korea was once again seen at the opening parade of the XX Winter Olympics, which were held in Turin in 2006.
The flag bearers during the ceremony were South Korea's Bora Lee and Jong-In Lee from North Korea.
The Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics will be the fourth time that Koreas will parade under the unified flag at the Olympics.
