Ezekiel Elliott sets personal record in Cowboys' victory against 49ers

Ezekiel Elliott gained 219 yards from the line of scrimmage and tied his personal record of three touchdowns, days after a judge froze his suspension, in the game where the Dallas Cowboys won by a landslide of 40-10 against the San Francisco 49ers, who remain winless.

Last Tuesday, Elliott obtained a second temporary restraining order to temporarily avoid a six-game suspension due to allegations of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. On Sunday, he provided offensive power for the Cowboys (3-3) in an imbalanced game.

Elliott tied his scoring carries for the season, as he scored two touchdowns in the first quarter alone. He advanced 72 yards with a short pass from Dak Prescott for another touchdown in Dallas' first possession of the second half, which crushed the 49ers (0-7).

The star running back gained 147 yards on 26 carries, in addition to making a great catch, and set a personal record for yards gained in a game from the line of scrimmage.

The Cowboys spoiled the rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard's starting debut, as he was sacked five times, lost two fumbles, and failed to lead the 49ers to the end zone until he himself scored on a run when the game was already decided in the fourth quarter.
