Las Leonas of the British Institute of Torreón finish as runners-up in the Conadeip National championship in the Juvenile B category after losing in a penalty shootout against the team of Leonas Rosas from the IPEFH of the State of Mexico.
The girls from La Laguna were very close to the championship, since in this match they managed to take a two-goal advantage in the first half with a goal from Karla Grajeda and later a goal from Guadalupe Guevara.
In the second half, the team from the State of Mexico launched an all-out attack, generating chances to the point of missing a penalty shot, but the spirit did not waver, until they closed in on the score with a goal and near the end, with an own goal from the girls from La Laguna, the match was tied.
The regular time ended and then the penalties came, where the girls from La Laguna missed one and their opponents were more accurate when it mattered, taking the championship to their trophy case.
For the team from the State of Mexico, it was a sporting revenge, since they faced each other in the group stage with a victory for the British Institute, which is why the now national champions celebrated this victory even more.
