The announcement of Roger Federer shakes the tennis world

The announcement of Roger Federer shook the tennis and sports world in general. The Swiss tennis player will retire from the sport after competing in the Laver Cup. The big question is: What will 'his Majesty' do after leaving the field? The question was answered by Anna Wintour in an emotional tribute to her great friend.

The writer, director, and editor-in-chief of the renowned Vogue magazine published an article in which she bid farewell to the tennis player who, for her, is "the best in history." In it, Wintour indicated that she had a conversation with Federer, in which she told him the main benefit of his retirement.

"Roger recently told me that the advantage of retirement, for him, was that it would give his family a chance to shine. He wanted his children to be able to go to school in one place," Anna said in her publication.

Anna Wintour has been seen supporting Federer at Wimbledon, the most outstanding tennis player on grass courts. Just like with Roger, the journalist is very close to the wife of the Swiss racket, Mirka Vavrinek, so their friendship with the family is noteworthy.

It is worth mentioning that Roger has won 20 Grand Slam titles in his career (six at the Australian Open, one at Roland Garros, eight at Wimbledon, and five at the US Open) and has important records: he is the tennis player with the most victories (369) and the only one with over 100 wins in two Majors (105 at Wimbledon and 102 at the Australian Open).
