Good news for Peruvian sport keeps coming. This time, the one responsible for bringing positive news for the country was national athlete Christian Pacheco, who arrived from El Salvador with a bronze medal in hand, after finishing third in the 10-kilometer category of the Pan American Cross Country 2018.
Pacheco, who is sponsored by Nike, finished the race in a time of 30 minutes and eight seconds, being only surpassed by Americans Joseph James Gray (30 minutes and two seconds) and Augustus Kiplagat Maiyo (30 minutes and five seconds).
After crossing the finish line, Pacheco mentioned that it has been a pleasant experience for him to represent Peru again in an international competition, after having already participated in the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2017 Quito Marathon.
