In an unfortunately disappointing end to the season i thought I would look back and list some of my favorite moments.
But, I could only think of one.
It’s my opinion that the best moment from the Nebraska football season was the blocked field goal and return for a touchdown by Quinton Newsome as he and Tommi Hill high fived each other.
I wrote it at the time that it felt like Nebraska football was fun again.
I still stand by that and I think more fun is coming from Matt Rhule and this staff.
What do you think was the best moment of the 2023 football season?

Husker volleyball ready for Thursday's big match: 'Let's blow the roof off this place'
A matinee that will have a whole lot of noise coming during the show. It's OK in this case. It has been requested.
The Bob Devaney Sports Center should be rocking this afternoon as Nebraska volleyball hosts Georgia Tech in its Sweet 16 match.
"There's only one thing I have to say today is I'm surprised the governor hasn't cancelled everything (Thursday) so everybody can watch this match since the NCAA puts us 1 o'clock assuming that Nebraska will sellout," said Husker volleyball coach John Cook. "Our fans better be ready to blow off the roof tomorrow afternoon. Let's blow the roof off this place."
'We got to find a killer instinct,' Hoiberg says after big Husker lead gets blown up by Gophers
From red all over to dread all over.
A depressing defeat already loomed at the doorstep but a fitting sequence to sum up the second half would come in those painful last moments. Nebraska was pressing the Gophers, down six with a little less than two minutes to go. Looking for a steal. Once, twice, the Huskers almost had it in the backcourt. Then they almost stole the pass into the frontcourt. Then it looked like they might get a loose ball by the rim.
Nebraska never grabbed it. It just turned into a Gopher layup. What the heck happened?

Colorado rallies on recruiting trail, lands 5-star OL Jordan Seaton - ESPN
Deion Sanders and Colorado have been hemorrhaging players on the recruiting front as of late.
On Thursday, the commitment of five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton gave Sanders and the rest of the Buffaloes a reason to smile. Seaton (No. 19 overall in the 2024 ESPN 300), an IMG Academy (Florida) player and the top offensive tackle in the cycle, was the highest-ranked uncommitted prospect in the 2024 ESPN 300. He jumped from 91st to 19th in ESPN's latest player rankings, which dropped in October.
He also considered Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Oregon, Tennessee and Maryland.
Breaking down the NFL MVP race: If Dak Prescott wants it, Cowboys might need No. 1 seed
The NFL MVP race isn't usually wrapped up with five weeks to go. But it's rarely this wide open.
There are between six and eight viable candidates, depending how generous you are, with other contenders who could make it interesting with a great finish. That might speak more to this season's field, which has been hurt by numerous quarterback injuries. But someone is going to win MVP, and it's hard to tell who it will be.
“STICK TO SPORTS!” Nah.
Can we be both impressed and saddened?
