The women's team of Cienciano de Cusco had a visit from Alex Scott, former Arsenal footballer and member of the England national team. The athlete was in the imperial city, where she gave a talk to the Cusco players at the Garcilaso de la Vega Stadium.
Scott is a legend of women's football, as she not only played in three World Cups with her country, but also scored the goal that gave Arsenal the Champions League title in the 2006-2007 season, which was the only time an English team won the 'Orejona' in the women's category.

At 37 years old, the former footballer works as a television presenter on the most important channels in her country and has covered World Cups, Olympics, and other major events. Alex stated that she always had the desire to visit Cusco and today she was able to fulfill that dream, as well as share her experiences with the Cienciano athletes.
"It is difficult for women to pursue this profession, but with a lot of sacrifice, I am sure you will achieve your goals and be an example for the next generation of players," said the Arsenal legend (a club with which she won more than 18 titles) to the Cienciano press area.
During the reception ceremony for the world-class athlete, Edy Cuéllar, a director of the red team, participated. He gave her a shirt with her name and thanked her for visiting the team to share pleasant moments with the members of Cienciano's women's team.
