Andy Murray Advances to Fifth Final at Australian Open

Andy Murray advanced on Friday to his fifth final at the Australian Open by defeating Milos Raonic 4-6, 7-5, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-2.

Murray, who lost all four previous finals he played at Melbourne Park, will face Novak Djokovic on Sunday for the title at the first Grand Slam tournament of the year.

However, he made it clear a few days ago that he would withdraw if the birth of his child occurs.

"It would be disappointing not being able to play the final if I make it, but I would be even more disappointed if I win the Australian Open and miss the birth of my child," he had declared.

What is certain is that he made it to the final, and it remains uncertain whether he will play or not.

Djokovic has won all five finals he has played here, three of them against Murray.

Murray broke Raonic's serve at the beginning of the fifth set, and the Canadian, furious, hit his racket on the ground and broke it. Murray won 20 out of 25 points to take a 4-0 lead and practically win the match.

Raonic, who made 79 unforced errors compared to Murray's 28, received treatment for a problem in his right thigh after the ninth game of the fourth set, and he seemed to limp at times during the rest of the four-hour and three-minute match.
