FIFA fines Danish Football Association
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has announced that it has fined the Danish Football Association with 20,000 Swiss francs (about $20,200) and has issued a warning for incidents caused by its supporters in the match against Australia.
According to FIFA's statement, this sanction is due to the throwing of objects by the Danish fans towards the Australian fans, as well as the display of a sexist flag in the stands, and for not respecting the pre-match protocol.
Disciplinary proceedings
FIFA has also opened disciplinary proceedings against Swiss player Stephan Lichtsteiner for his goal celebration in the match against Serbia, as well as against the president of the Serbian Football Association, Slavisa Kokeza, and the coach, Mladen Krstajic, for statements made after the match.
In addition, disciplinary action has been taken against two members of the German coaching staff, Ulrich Voigt and Georg Behlau, for their behavior at the end of the match against Germany, in which a goal in injury time by Toni Kroos secured a 2-1 victory for the current World Cup champions.
