Peruvian National Team Prepares for World Cup Debut
The Peruvian national team is getting ready for their debut against Denmark this Saturday in Group C at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. However, before that, on Thursday the 14th, the grand opening of the World Cup will take place, which holds some interesting facts.
Among the 23 Peruvian footballers who make up Ricardo Gareca's final list, there is one who will not only participate in his first World Cup, but will also celebrate his birthday on the same day that the tournament begins.
Indeed, it is none other than André Carrillo. The striker for the Peruvian national team and player for the English club Watford will be turning 27 on the same day that Russia 2018 kicks off, and what better gift than experiencing it up close as one of the chosen ones to represent his country after 36 years.
