Paolo Guerrero's mother reacts to his participation in the World Cup
Paolo Guerrero's mother, Petronila Gonzáles, better known as Doña 'Peta', spoke out after learning that the Swiss Federal Tribunal has allowed her son to play in the World Cup in Russia. "My son is a warrior, and I congratulate everyone who has helped. When he sets his mind to something, he achieves it," she said.
In addition, she not only thanked the Peruvian people for believing in her son, but also thanked God, as 'El Depredador's' mother is a devout Catholic. "I only asked God for strength to keep fighting. We are blessed by God. I always believed that this would be resolved," she added.
Regarding her son's performance, Doña 'Peta' assured that he will have a great World Cup because he has never stopped training and is in good physical condition.
It is worth mentioning that the Swiss Federal Tribunal has decided to postpone the sanction imposed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Paolo Guerrero, which means that the Peruvian striker will be present at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
