While the Peruvian National Team trains at Videna, Paolo Guerrero and the president of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) are heading to Switzerland to meet with Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA.
As it is remembered, the FPF reported during the week that Oviedo and Guerrero met at the headquarters of this entity, but the details of the meeting would remain "confidential by mutual agreement."
The forward and captain of the team will miss the 2018 World Cup, to which Peru qualified after 36 years, due to the punishment.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) imposed a 14-month sanction on Guerrero on Monday for doping, after a test conducted on the player after the match played by Peru against Argentina in Buenos Aires on October 5, 2017, when benzoilecgonine, the main metabolite of cocaine and its derivatives, was detected in his body.
This and more appears on the covers of Peruvian sports newspapers this Sunday, May 20th. Here they are, so don't miss them.
