Jefferson Farfan emerges as the feared figure for the European squad.
There are two days left for Peru to hold its first pre-World Cup test against Croatia and both rivals are beginning to design their best schemes for the match at Hard Rock Stadium. The Croatian coach, Zlatko Dalic, has already said that he will try to contain Jefferson Farfan, whom he considers the most dangerous player of the 'blanquirroja'.
The European strategist assured that he will have Peru as one of the ideal opponents to demand his players ahead of the 2018 World Cup, as the South American squad is in good shape and demonstrated it by having a good qualification process.
"I wanted to play against strong opponents before the World Cup and we got it. I wanted opponents who are tactically, physically, and mentally different from most European teams. Peru is in excellent form, they finished the Qualifiers in style and it was great to see the celebration after qualifying for the World Cup," said Zlatko Dalic to El Comercio.
About the current Peruvian team, Dalic highlighted the quality of the players. He mentioned Farfan as one of the stalwarts due to his experience. He also praised the midfielders.
