Following a pair of preparation matches against Colombia and Brazil, the U.S. Men’s National Team starts its Copa America journey against South American side Bolivia at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, June 23 at 6 p.m. ET. It will be the USMNT first appearance in the prestigious tournament since the 2016 edition, which was also hosted in the United States.
Three points are a must. Bolivia represent the USMNT’s easiest Group C encounter, but coach Antônio Carlos Zago is trying to change that perception, but La Verde have not qualified for the World Cup since 1994. Since 1997, they have made it past the group stage of the Copa America only once.
One more note: The USMNT have won their last two matchups against Bolivia by a combined 7-0 score.
