MONROE, La. – The ULM baseball team is scheduled to play 36 games at Lou St. Amant Field in 2024, the most since playing 34 home games in the 2015 season. ULM head coach Michael Federico recently finalized the slate.
Season tickets are set to go on sale on January 2 by visiting the ULM ticket office in Fant-Ewing Coliseum, calling 318-342-HAWK or by visiting ULMWarhawks.com.
Among the highlights of the schedule, ULM will play the first five weekends of the season at home, battling Missouri State, Murray State, UIW and Alabama A&M in nonconference play before welcoming Troy to open Sun Belt Conference action. Coastal Carolina and Texas State, who played in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, are also on the home conference schedule along with Georgia Southern and Arkansas State.
Mid-week action is highlighted by Ole Miss returning to The Lou for the first time since 2020 on March 12 and two home games against Louisiana Tech, on March 26 and April 30. Grambling, Central Arkansas, Northwestern State, Little Rock, Alcorn and Stephen F. Austin also come to Monroe for mid-week play.
ULM opens the season on Feb. 16 with the first of a three-game series against Missouri State. It is the first meeting between the Warhawks and Bears since 2005. After Grambling visits for the first mid-week of the season on Feb. 20, Murray State visits The Lou for the first time from Feb. 23-25. ULM then wraps up the month with a double mid-week, visiting Northwestern State on Feb. 27 before heading across the state line to take on Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches on Feb. 28.
March begins with UIW making its first-ever visit to The Lou from March 1-3. The Cardinals swept the inaugural series between the two teams last year in San Antonio. ULM visits former Sun Belt Conference rival Little Rock on March 5 before facing Alabama A&M for the first time in a three-game series from March 8-10. Ole Miss comes to Monroe on March 12. The last time the Rebels visited Monroe, two sell-out crowds of over 2,000 fans each filled then-Warhawk Field on March 10-11, 2020.
Sun Belt Conference play begins March 15-17 when Troy comes to Lou St. Amant Field. Central Arkansas returns a mid-week trip to ULM on March 19 after the Warhawks knocked off the Bears in Conway last season. ULM visits Georgia State for the first time since 2019 on March 22-24. Louisiana Tech makes its first trip of the season to Monroe on March 26. The Warhawks close March with Coastal Carolina's first trip to Monroe since 2019 on March 28-30, playing Thursday-Saturday due to Easter Sunday. ULM and the Chanticleers managed to split a three-game series, 1-1-1, in 2022 in Conway, South Carolina.
The month of April starts on the road as ULM makes its second trip to Natchitoches to face Northwestern State on April 3. Two days later, the Warhawks open a series in Lafayette against the Ragin' Cajuns from April 5-7. The Warhawks return home the next week against Northwestern State on April 9 and Texas State from April 12-14. ULM goes back on the road the following week with a mid-week trip to Ruston to face LA Tech on April 16 before visiting Hattiesburg for the first time since 2019, taking on Southern Miss from April 19-21. Little Rock breaks up the road swing on April 23. ULM visits Old Dominion for the first time from April 26-28 and closes the month with the final of three match-ups with LA Tech on April 30 at The Lou.
The Warhawks continue a six-game homestand in May as Alcorn plays the back end of the double mid-week on May 1. Georgia Southern comes to Monroe from May 3-5, marking the Eagles' first trip to The Lou since 2019. ULM wraps up the mid-week schedule with SFA on May 8 in Monroe. The regular season schedule concludes with a pair of Sun Belt Conference series at South Alabama from May 10-12 and against Arkansas State from May 16-18 at The Lou.
The Sun Belt Conference Championship is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 21 at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama.
