Unlike other music awards that are given thanks to the votes of the public, for the Latin Grammy, there is no open voting for fans of the artists. The Latin Recording Academy carries out the selection process and then, 100 industry experts review each of the nominated productions.
The main objective is to evaluate the artistic theme, composition, instruments used, and general musicalization of the sound piece that is nominated in the more than 50 categories.
