The United States team beat its team from Oman 4-0 (an own goal), in a friendly match played this Tuesday at Alianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The goals from Folarín Balogun (13), Brenden Aaronson (60) and Ricardo Pepi (79), while the fourth was the work of Khalid Al-Braiki (81) in his own goal.
This was the second victory in two games, after the return of coach Gregg Berhalter, after leading the Stars and Stripes team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they lost in the round of 16 to the Netherlands.
In an excellent play in the 13th minute, which was first rejected by the goalkeeper after a shot from Sergiño Dest, finally the center forward Folarín Balogun finished off with a left foot shot for the American 1-0.
In the 60th minute, a foul by Ahmed Al Khamis on the newly incorporated Brenden Aaronson was whistled by the referee and the player himself successfully charged it for the second goal for the United States.
The third goal was a right-footed shot from the center of the area by Pepi in the 79th minute after a pass from DeJuan Jones.
The United States, which will organize the 2026 World Cup along with Canada and Mexico, has the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Nations League pending in November.
