Nacional of Uruguay seeks a good result in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana round of 16 and for now shows a great performance against Union de Santa Fe. Just 20 minutes into the game, Franco Fagúndez and Leandro Lozano took care of scoring the 2-0 partial of 'Bolso' in the Gran Parque Central of Montevideo.
The match had just started and the Uruguayan team began attacking from the wings, where they tried to cause damage. Precisely, Lozano, who plays as a right back, reached the vicinity of the opposing area, but did not cross the ball: he opted for a short touch to Alfonso Trezza.
The ball reached the midfielder comfortably, although immediately three Union de Santa Fe defenders appeared to mark him. Due to the possibility of losing possession, the attacker assisted Franco Fagúndez and the scorer overcame the resistance of goalkeeper Santiago Mele with a first-time shot from the edge of the box.
The partial result unleashed the joy of the fans in the stands, and the happiness multiplied afterwards. After the 20th minute, following a failed clearance in a corner, Leandro Lozano volleyed from outside the box with impressive accuracy, and scored it in the top corner.
Nacional celebrates the partial victory, as it has a favorable outlook to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana. Remember that the second leg against Union Santa Fe will be next Tuesday, July 5, at the Estadio 15 de Abril.
