Former President of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) Manuel Burga was extradited to the United States early this morning. The flight that transported the individual under investigation for the FIFAgate case departed at 1:45 am, following five hours of wait at Jorge Chavez airport.

Former President of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) Manuel Burga left Ancón 2 prison this afternoon to be taken to Jorge Chavez airport, where he will board a midnight flight that will take him to the United States to face charges of conspiracy to commit organized crime.
According to reports from Canal N, Manuel Burga was transferred inside a police van, which was guarded by two patrol cars, two motorcycles, and an ambulance.
Former President of the FPF received a visit from his wife and two children in the morning, and minutes later, he was visited by the mayor of Magdalena Francis Allison, who stated that Manuel Burga is very sad about this measure. Around 3:50 p.m., he left Ancón 2 prison facilities to be taken to the airport police station.
In the United States, Manuel Burga will face the charges against him in the FIFA case, where his defense plans to pay a bail of 100,000 to only face charges of conspiracy to commit organized crime.
