'Papá' Cienciano has not lost in the last five matches, and in their last away game, they earned a valuable point against Sport Loreto (Pucallpa). However, there are three direct rivals behind them chasing the same dream (Mannucci, Cantolao, and Alianza Universidad).

Óscar Ibáñez tries to downplay the high temperature that will be felt in Olmos (Lambayeque). "Rivals always want to take advantage when they are out of options. What Los Caimanes are doing is valid, but the heat will affect both teams. I don't think it will only bother us," he said.
For Diego Morales, the heat that will be present in Olmos during the game is not something that will determine or scare them in the lead-up. "Olmos will be tough, for sure because of the heat, but at this point, there are no excuses if we want to win the title. I know the opponent has experienced players, but so do we," said the goalkeeper.
Los Caimanes, on the other hand, are playing their last chance to keep their hopes alive for promotion. That's why they decided to play in Olmos. "The home advantage was a discussed topic with the board: everything helps," said Marcial Salazar, coach of the Lambayeque team.
