The Argentine footballer Maximiliano Giusti (25), former forward for Universitario de Deportes, died this morning in a car accident.
According to Argentine media reports, the Audi A1 driven by the athlete crashed on the road that connects San Nicolás with Ramallo, in Buenos Aires. "The accident happened in the last sharp curve," details El Informante from Argentina.
Giusti currently played for the Mushuc Runa club in Ecuador, but he was visiting Buenos Aires. Vélez Sarsfield, the club where he debuted at the age of 20, mourned his death on Twitter.
The forward wore the jerseys of San Martín in 2013, León de Huánuco in 2015, and Universitario de Deportes in the last part of that year.
