Juan Reynoso has decided to speak about everything after the first 4 matches of the 2026 Qualifiers, and one of the most striking is about the figure of Yoshimar Yotún among the new members of the national team who come from the Liga 1. For the coach, the image of the Sporting Cristal player is very important because he considers him as an example.
"It wasn't anything against the league, or against Bryan. It was 'hey, hopefully we open our eyes, make it a more competitive football, minute by minute, we need to convince them first'," explained the coach of the Peruvian national team.
However, Juan Reynoso spoke about a particular player who he considers as a reference for the new members: "Yoshi is the flag, he plays 90 minutes, trains every day twice a day. We have spoken to several players to imitate Yoshi. And even the crowd had discussed it a lot, it is the essence of competitiveness that he has," said the Peruvian coach who is convinced of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
As is known, Yoshimar Yotún arrived at Sporting Cristal in 2022 after several years abroad and is an example that he can maintain the pace of the Qualifiers despite playing in the local football, that's what coach Juan Máximo Reynoso implied.
