About the Peruvian National Football Team
The midfielder of Alianza Lima, Christian Cueva, spoke about the tough moment that the Peruvian National Football Team is going through in the qualifiers, as they couldn't earn any points in the last double matchday, losing 2-0 to both Chile and Argentina, which leaves the team in second to last place in the standings.
Through his Instagram account, the Peruvian midfielder, who wasn't included by Juan Máximo Reynoso in any of the first four qualifying matches, left a brief message in support of the team.
"I love you Peru. Faith, together until the end," said the blanquiazul midfielder, who accompanied his short text with a picture of himself celebrating one of his goals in the World Cup qualifiers for Qatar 2022.
About Cueva and Flores' Absence
Justly, the coach of the "blanquirroja" explained the absence of Christian Cueva and Edison Flores in his latest call-up and assured that both players are still in his universe of potential selections. However, he acknowledged that the moment they are going through in their respective clubs will be decisive in deciding whether they will be called up or not.
"The National Team is by no means closed, in this case, Christian and Edison are important players, and we are waiting for them, but as I said, those who are in good form and can be on the list will be welcomed," he stated.
