How do you see the Pacific Classic at the Monumental in Chile?

As a fan, coach, trainer, but always knowing that it is just a football match. Many times I read in the press of your country (Peru) that Alexis Sanchez was no longer the same, so we fall into sensationalism. It's not normal. For me, it is a football match between two classic teams, matches with a lot of intensity, a lot of hard tackles. They are two needy teams, direct rivals, let's hope it will be a nice match and that the team that does things better wins.

Generational changes are natural. I'm not going to choose young or good-sized players, you have the best example. Paolo Guerrero is forty years old and he is in the national team. Beyond being fifteen, eighteen, or forty, if he is at a competitive level to play for his country, he will do it. However, changes are natural, they are not forced. Many times they want to retire players, but it is not the most correct thing. Let's hope it will be a match where the important thing is to add points, since it becomes complex for both teams.

Many times that atmosphere is generated outside, on the field it is a complex match, the team that does things better will win. It doesn't go beyond being just a football match.

What memories do you have of the matches you played with La Roja against the Peruvian national team?

Matches with a lot of friction, a lot of intensity, I enjoyed them a lot. I had the chance to play many matches against Peru, they are very attractive. Let's hope it continues in the same way.

The Alianza Lima team always remembers your contribution to the national championship campaign in 2006...

I have the best memories of Peru, of the Alianza fans, the way they treated me. I felt very good, I will always remember it. It was a country that treated me and my family well. I am happy to be part of the club's history and that they still remember you to this day, that is priceless. I wish Alianza the best, may they continue to win titles, they will always have great fans.
