The international experience of Nolberto Solano as a coach has ended.
Today he was fired from AFC Eskilstuna due to poor results in the promotion tournament, where he hadn't won since August, placing the team among the bottom positions.

AFC Eskilstuna, from their social media, announced that Nolberto Solano will not continue in the club. "AFC Eskilstuna terminates the collaboration with Nolberto Solano with immediate effect due to the results of the last weeks. Tony Andersson and Robert Åstedt will continue leading the team starting tomorrow. We wish Nolberto the best of luck in the future!" states the announcement.
Nolberto Solano was in his third experience abroad and in all of them, he was dismissed from his position due to poor results. In his arrival at AFC Eskilstuna, he managed to win three consecutive victories but then entered a terrible losing streak, leaving the team at the bottom of the promotion table.
Popular 'Ñol' was part of Ricardo Gareca's coaching staff in the two World Cup Qualifiers that he had with the Peruvian national team. In the 2018 World Cup, they managed to qualify, but in Qatar 2022, they were eliminated after losing the playoff against Australia.
