Dreams of Returning to Brazil
After being separated from Vélez Sarsfield due to adverse results, Ricardo Gareca is currently without a team, but during an interview, he made it clear that his intention is to coach a team again.
In that sense, the former coach of the Peruvian National Team assured that he is looking for new opportunities and one of his possible destinations could be the first division of Brazilian football, where he had a brief stint.
Gareca has a long-standing relationship with Brazilian football, where he was in charge of the Palmeiras club. He experienced that after his time with Universitario de Deportes between 2007 and 2008.
"Brazil is an amazing country. The way they treated me and how they made me feel was incredible. I would love to return to that country because I am very grateful for it," he stated in an interview for the program "Nosso Palestra".
DREAMS OF RETURNING TO BRAZIL
These words evidence the coach's nostalgia and his desire to work again in the South American country. When remembering his time at Palmeiras, Gareca mentioned that one of the most challenging obstacles was the language.
However, he regretted that the expected results were not achieved during his tenure. Likewise, the Argentine strategist acknowledged that he closely follows the performance of the team that currently has outstanding players.
