The 2023-24 season of international football brought many surprises in terms of the transfer market, one of them was the transfer of André Carrillo, who left the Saudi Professional League to play in the second division of the same country, despite being one of the main figures of Al-Hilal for more than four years, winning 9 titles with the team.
With the arrival of world-class stars to Saudi Arabia after Cristiano Ronaldo's signing, such as Karim Benzema, Neymar Jr, N'Golo Kanté, Firmino, Sadio Mané, among many others, they ended up displacing the skillful Peruvian player.

But it was a surprise when it was known that Carrillo had decided to continue his career at Al-Qadisiyah in the Prince Mohammad bin Salman League (second division of Saudi Arabia).
In this regard, Líbero asked Christian Ramos, an experienced center back who had a stint in Saudi Arabia when he signed for Al-Nassr in 2018, why he believes Carrillo decided to stay in the Middle East.
"The Arabian league has been of a very high level since I was there. They hired good players. They always had the intention of making the league competitive. They have good facilities, the players are professionals, the coaches and fitness trainers are top-notch. It is a league that is making noise and André knows that," Ramos stated in an interview with this media outlet.
