The records say that Andres Andrade defended the jersey of Alianza Lima in 13 matches of Liga 1 Betsson and 181 minutes of Copa Libertadores. Although the Colombian midfielder did not stay as long as expected during the season, for the fans and of course, the institution, his dedication (and talent) is not in question. That is why the signs of affection have arrived throughout the past weeks, when the former player of Atletico Nacional underwent knee surgery in his home country.
During his recovery, Andres Andrade thanked the support he received from the Alianza Lima fans throughout this time. "They have been very attentive, I am completely grateful to Alianza Lima for how they have behaved, because they have been supporting. They understood that, for my peace of mind, it was important to have my surgery here in Colombia. I hope they can wait for me and have that rematch of playing again", he said in Win Sports.
The Colombian midfielder, in turn, indicated that "the recovery time depends on each person. It is always said that this injury takes seven months to return to play, so we hope to be back earlier, because the doctor has already been very clear and strict with me and told me that he will not let me play before".
Finally, the player from Alianza Lima added: "I have had few injuries in my career and in those few injuries I always came back earlier. I had only suffered the fifth metatarsal in my legs, they had given me three and a half months and I think I played after two months and one week. I recover quickly and I hope this time is no exception".
Larriera's words after debuting with Alianza Lima
Although he has been coaching the Alianza players for a short time, the former Peñarol coach said he is happy with the players' disposition and the great atmosphere that exists in La Victoria. "Congratulations to the guys, the coaching staff and all the people of Alianza, who welcomed us in a very good way and I found a good working environment", he commented.
Regarding the match against the Cusco team, Larriera stated that "from a sports perspective, we had a difficult start, but the draw comes as a reward for our search, for taking risks. The draw brings a little more justice to what happened in the match. Statistically, the team generated more chances and we found a bit more justice with Concha's goal".
