Before the match between Alianza Lima vs. Cusco FC for matchday 8 of the Clausura Tournament, coach Mauricio Larriera decided to talk about how he has found the team in these first days under his command, stating that there is a very good atmosphere within the squad.
Likewise, he referred to his debut in the high-altitude city, emphasizing that this factor is just a context that one must always adapt to. Furthermore, he also asked the fans to continue trusting in the squad.
"I have found a very good disposition and a good working environment in Alianza Lima, the altitude is a context, it's like in life, you have to adapt. Everything is fine, I'm happy. To the fans, I say to keep trusting and supporting as they always have," he said upon his arrival at Jorge Chávez Airport.
Regarding the lineup, Larriera was asked if he will use a backline of four, and he simply said that there is not much mystery in his approach. "'Do you return to the backline of four? You will see it tomorrow, there is not much mystery', he explained.
Finally, a reporter told Mauricio Larriera that Felipe Rodríguez had spoken very highly of him, and the Uruguayan affirmed that he considers the Cusco FC player like a son.
"Felipe Rodríguez spoke very highly, he said he is like a son of mine," said the journalist, and the Alianza Lima coach replied: "It's true, Felipe Rodríguez is like a son to me. I love him very much."
