Mountaineer Victor Rimac reaches 3 mythical summits over 8,000 meters in Pakistan [VIDEO].

Víctor Rímac, the Peruvian mountaineer, achieved a new Latin American challenge after completing three mythical peaks in Pakistan, above eight thousand meters in just 9 days.

Thus, our compatriot becomes the first Latin American to achieve these summits in such a short time and, true to his style, he did it without supplementary oxygen.

Víctor Rímac is currently the leading Peruvian in mountaineering worldwide, and he holds the High Mountain Guide certificate from the International Union of Mountain Guide Associations (UIAGM).

Gasherbrum II on July 17 (8,035 m), Gasherbrum I on July 21 (8,068 m), and finally, Broad Peak on July 25 (8,047 m), are the three mountains conquered by Rímac in the Karakoram range in Pakistan.

Thus, he has a total of 9 peaks from the list of the 14 existing above eight thousand meters in height.

VÍCTOR RÍMAC'S ACHIEVEMENTS

  • In 2015, he survived the avalanche triggered on Everest after the earthquake in Nepal.
  • In 2017, he reached the summit of Everest and waved the Peruvian flag at the highest point in the world.
  • In 2021, he led the Bicentennial Flag expedition, where he placed a 4,000m2 Peruvian flag on the top of Huascarán.
  • With his project "Cumbre 8mil," he aims to climb the fourteen peaks existing above eight thousand meters in height.
  • In 2023, he has added three more peaks to his list, surpassing 9 out of the 14 existing mountains above eight thousand meters in height.
