In recent weeks, there has been talk about Sergio Peña not only regarding his current sports situation at Malmö. The reason? He committed a civil offense, after driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol; therefore, the justice system of the European country requested an exemplary punishment for the Peruvian national team midfielder. Amidst all this, the midfielder took it upon himself to give details about how his legal process is going. At the same time, about the upcoming challenges that the 'sele' has against South Korea and Japan, on the 16th and 20th respectively.

"It's practically a closed matter. Now, I just have to wait (for the verdict of the court), so we'll see. I'm not in jail like they say in Peru," national team midfielder said after the recent training session at Goyang Stadium (Goyan, South Korea).

Beyond his legal matter, Sergio Peña is living a perfect sports present, since the Peruvian national team player has played all the official minutes with his team in recent months. "I'm in very good physical condition. I've played every game (with Malmo in the local league) since the season started, playing 90 minutes in all the matches and that has me in a good state," added the player of the Peruvian team.

On the other hand, Sergio Peña took some time to analyze the next opponents of the Peruvian national team, two teams that usually have permanent participation in the World Cup and that, in recent years, have played great matches against the strongest teams on the planet.

"(Both teams - South Korea and Japan -) are difficult rivals and play very good football. We, on our part, have to focus on gaining confidence to face the South American qualifying matches (we debut against Paraguay, in Asuncion)," concluded the Peruvian athlete.

When will the matches of the Peruvian national team be?

The Peruvian national team has been training in Seoul since Sunday, June 11th, and when the delegation is completed with the players who play abroad, Juan Reynoso will start working on the scheme and variations that he will propose for these friendly matches in Asia. To date, the 'Cabezón' has coached six matches with the 'Bicolor' and these will be two interesting tests thinking about the Qualifiers.

The match against South Korea is scheduled for Friday, June 16th, starting at 6:00 a.m. (8:00 p.m. in Korean time) and will be played at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium (Busan). On the other hand, the match against Japan is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20th, starting at 4:55 a.m. (6:55 p.m. in Japanese time) and will take place at the Panasonic Stadium Suita (Osaka).
