Rise in Prices Hits the Economy of Peruvians

The rise in prices greatly affected the economic stability of different markets around the world, and this was no exception in the pockets of Peruvians who experienced strong inflation in 2021 and 2022.

To make matters worse, the rains and mudslides in 2023 caused a severe blow to family incomes, which is why the Government allocated different bonuses to provide support to the most vulnerable population in Peru. This bonus granted by Midagri is aimed at the agricultural producer population and will vary between S/389 (from 0 to 0.5 hectares) and a maximum of S/7,447 (from 0.51 to 10 hectares). The bonus given by the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) will be an amount of 500 soles granted for a period of two years and is aimed at the population affected by the rains from Cyclone Yaku. Although there is currently no official LINK, it can be collected through Banco de la Nación.

This benefit will be given to named and contracted teachers and assistants. Although it was initially announced to be given in the first weeks of April, this subsidy has not been provided to date, which was to be an amount of S/950.
