The Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS) issued the first payment of the Christmas Bonus to IVSS pensioners on Friday, October 20, and the second payment was expected for Wednesday, November 1.
To the surprise of thousands of pensioners, the IVSS deleted the publication in which it mentioned that it was going to deliver the Second Payment of the 2023 Christmas Bonus on the first of the new month. Therefore, an official statement is expected regarding this new contribution.

- First payment of Christmas Bonus: Friday, October 20.
- Second payment of Christmas Bonus: Tuesday, November 21.
- Third payment of Christmas Bonus: Thursday, December 21.
What is the amount of the pensioners' Christmas bonus?
According to the official account of the IVSS, the amount is based on the Venezuelan minimum wage, which means that 130 bolívares will be delivered. On the other hand, the purpose of the benefit is to provide economic assistance to pensioners.
On the other hand, for public sector workers, the amount varies according to the category and according to the salary scale:
- Public employees without a university degree: between 130 and 197 bolívares, depending on their position.
- Public employees: between 520 and 788 bolívares, depending on the region.
- University Technical Specialists (TSU): 218 bolívares.
- Technical Level II: 254 bolívares.
- Range III professionals: up to 379 bolívares in Range III.
- Professionals: 1,516 bolívares, depending on their position and level.
