This Thursday Regatas Lima defeated Alianza Lima 4-1 in the fourth final of the National Volleyball League and, with this result, became the three-time champion of the competition after winning the first two finals against Alianza Lima.
In the beginning of the match, the 'blanquiazules' were able to win the first set by 25-20; however, in the second set, Regatas Lima was able to equalize the match by winning 25-17. In the third set, Regatas Lima prevailed again 25-18 and, finally, won the match by winning the fourth set 25-20.
With this victory, Regatas Lima became the national champions once again, just as they did in 2021 and 2022 against Alianza Lima. It is worth mentioning that this is the second time that the team from Chorrillos has become the three-time champion, as they achieved the same feat in 2004, 2005, and 2006.

Regatas Lima aimed for the three-peat in the National League and on Tuesday had the chance to achieve it when they faced Alianza Lima in the third playoff of the grand final.
The Chorrillos team won the previous two matches against Alianza Lima and needs another victory to lift the trophy. Alianza Lima, on the other hand, plays its last chance to extend the series and keep their championship hopes alive. They can only win, they have no other alternative.
If Alianza Lima manages to win the match on Tuesday, they would have to win the fourth playoff to tie the series.
In the previous match, Regatas Lima won with a convincing score of 25-9, 25-19, and 25-16.
