After entering the final stretch in search of the Cusco team's equalizer, the popular 'Caballito' exceeded in the marking and lashed out against the red and black player, victim of frustration and helplessness in the last minutes of the match.
Reyna confronted the former footballer from Alianza Lima and they exchanged words. The referee first sent Hurtado off and after talking to his assistant, he decided to do the same with the fullback.
With Paolo Hurtado's exit, Cienciano ended the match with nine men on the field, as Gianlucca Fatecha had been sent off at 25 minutes for a double yellow card. Melgar's winning goal came in the 44th minute of the first half, thanks to Tomás Martínez.
