Continues changes around the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) : if a week ago from the San Luis offices they confirmed changes in the position of the general secretary (see at the bottom of the note), this Tuesday - through their social networks - they announced that Héctor Lara will not continue at the head of the competitions department of the local championship ( Liga 1 ). The reason? He received an important offer from the Monterrey club in Mexico, where he will be in charge of the sports management.
"The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) thanks Mr. Héctor Lara López for his commitment, who until the end of this month will serve as director of competitions for the Professional Football League (LFP), a challenge that he assumed with great professionalism, with the goal of improving the organization and structure of Peruvian football," the statement began.
The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) added that "in that sense, we wish him the best of success in his new stage in Mexico, where he will assume the sports management of the Monterrey Football Club, based on his professional interests."
On the other hand, the Peruvian football entity confirmed that it already has the name of Héctor Lara's successor in the position: it is Jesús Gonzáles Hurtado, who served as head of operations for Liga 1. In April, he will take on a new challenge in the local league.
"Likewise, betting on internal talent and continuing with the restructuring plan of Peruvian football, the FPF informs that Mr. Jesús Gonzáles Hurtado, who was serving as head of operations of the LFP, will assume the position of Manager of the Professional Football League as of April," the statement concluded.
More changes in the FPF
It has been just over a week since it was announced that Jean Marcel Robilliard would no longer hold the position of secretary general of the FPF. Then, in the midst of all that, from the Videna they started the search for his successor, revealing the name of the person who will take his place in the offices of the highest entity of Peruvian football.
"As part of the restructuring plan announced by the FPF, within the framework of the reforms for the benefit of Peruvian football, Sabrina Martin Zamalloa has been appointed as the new secretary general, replacing Jean Marcel Robilliard Ibárcena, who will continue with advice and completion of transformation projects," the FPF statement began.
The highest authority of Peruvian football, through its social networks, also confirmed another change in its structure, as Saúl Barrera Ayala (who had been serving as public relations manager of the Peruvian Football Federation), will leave that position to assume the role of deputy secretary general.
