On the last Monday, January 16, eight clubs from Liga 1, including Alianza Lima and Universitario, held a press conference and stated that they will not participate in the local tournament until the Peruvian Football Federation lifts the precautionary measure for broadcast rights. One that caught attention for its absence was Sporting Cristal.
Regarding this, the president of the ADFP, Oscar Romero, expressed his discomfort with the position taken by the beer team, which is supporting the Peruvian Football Federation's (FPF) decision on television rights.
"It is the decision of each one to accept, I respect it, but I do not share it. In any case, I would say to the gentlemen from Sporting Cristal if they have been shown how much they will receive, if they have been told that there is money or if they are going to give them 20%," he declared after the conference.

ADFP asks not to trust the FPF
Likewise, Oscar Romero sent a message to the president of the Rimense team, Joel Raffo, stating that they should not trust what the FPF announced.
"However, if they have been told that they will receive 20%, I would like to ask them: about the amount of what? Because the same Federation has said that they do not know the amounts of the contracts of the Liga 1 clubs," he explained.
