The Peruvian National Team already knows the path to follow in the South American U-20 Championship, which will take place in January and February of 2023; and before packing their bags to travel to Colombian lands -Colombia will host the Conmebol international tournament-, the national team will have one last test against Bolivia at Videna.
On Wednesday, January 4, the national team used its social media to announce the match against Bolivia, which will be played on Thursday, January 12, just before heading to Colombia. "Our Peruvian U-20 National Team will face Bolivia on Thursday, January 12 in the last friendly match in preparation for the South American Championship in Colombia," reads the official Twitter account of the 'team of all'.

It is worth mentioning that Peru is in the group of death, along with the host team, Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. And although it does not come with the favorite tag to the tournament, it hopes that with a lot of work -under the command of the new coach Jaime Serna- it can compete on equal terms against the biggest teams on the continent.
Also, it is important to mention that in this match against Bolivia, the national team will officially wear Adidas, the brand with the three stripes that returns to our uniforms (the last time was in the 1985 qualifiers). This after the partnership between the national team and Marathon came to an end.
How is the South American U-20 Championship defined?
The top three teams from each group will advance to the final phase, where they will face each other and the winner will be determined by points. The team with the highest number of points at the end of the five matches will be crowned the winner, with Ecuador being the last team to achieve the title.
This U-20 South American Championship in Colombia will award four places to the World Cup in Indonesia, which will be played in May and June 2023. It will also give three spots to the 2023 Pan American Games, which will take place in Chile from October 22 to November 4 next year.
