Binational: goalkeeper Diego Enríquez wants to be part of the Peruvian national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Diego Enríquez had a great year under the goalposts of Deportivo Binacional, being considered one of the best goalkeepers in the Liga 1 2023. The 20-year-old goalkeeper commented on his decision to return to the 'mighty of the south' and his desire to be in the Peruvian national team.

The goalkeeper explained why he extended the loan with the 'celeste' club to the next season: "I still belong to Cristal, the loan was renewed for the next season, so I will continue at Binacional. The loan went through several factors, I wanted to continue having continuity as I did this season."

In addition, Enríquez spoke about the reason why he stays in the 'mighty of the south': "That helps me continue to consolidate at my young age, in addition to playing the Sudamericana with Binacional, that is a good factor for me. Cristal had the intention for me to return, but we reached an agreement for me to continue on loan."
