Ricardo Gareca
Ricardo Gareca, former coach of the Peruvian National Team, revealed on Monday that he would like to work in Chile "for the tranquility and seriousness". The 'Tigre', who is currently a free coach after eight years leading the 'Bicolor', confessed that he is "open to listening to all proposals" to train in the 2023 season.

"I never had a project with Chile at the national team level. While I was in Peru, I always focused on them. I had an approach with an important club in Chile at some point. I am interested in working in Chile at some point," Gareca said to DirecTV Chile.
"I am open to all possibilities. I have taken enough time and depending on what comes up, I will start working. My friend Falcioni spoke highly of Chile, for the tranquility and seriousness. That interests me," he added.
Ricardo Gareca decided not to continue as coach of the Peruvian National Team after losing to Australia on penalties in the playoffs for the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The 64-year-old Argentine coach did not accept the last renewal offer proposed by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF).
The former coach of Universitario did not take well the negotiations of FPF president Agustín Lozano, since it included a considerable reduction in his salary and a reduction in the members of his coaching staff. This led Gareca to cut off all meetings with Peru.
