Alianza Lima, Universitario de Deportes, Cienciano, Sport Boys, Deportivo Municipal, Deportivo Binacional, Melgar, and Cusco FC have confirmed their partnership with GOLPERU.

After back and forth, a series of clubs made an important decision. The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) urged the clubs of the League 1 to enter a new model for the transmission of the tournament for the 2023 season. However, eight teams decided to renew their contract with Consorcio Fútbol Perú.

Alianza Lima, Universitario de Deportes, Cienciano, Sport Boys, Deportivo Municipal, Deportivo Binacional, Melgar, and Cusco FC announced the decision in a joint statement and hope to have no complications with the FPF during 2023.

"The signing clubs, after thorough analysis, have renewed their bond with Consorcio Fútbol Perú regarding the transmission rights of professional first division soccer matches, so said company will continue to broadcast the matches in which we play at home," begins the statement.

The signing clubs indicate that the decision was made after careful analysis and with the corresponding legal advice: "We made this decision after a long and more than prudent wait, considering it not only the best option but also the safest, most transparent, and beneficial for our institutions. To reach this conclusion, we invested in external legal advice and analyzed all the actions that the FPF developed around this topic."

"It is important to emphasize that football clubs are institutions that employ many families and we must be responsible for the proper fulfillment of financial obligations and other responsibilities like any company," they continue.

"This implies necessarily having a clear budget, as has been happening in recent years. Given the long trajectory we have as strategic partners of Consorcio Futbol Perú, which has been characterized by unconditional support and timely fulfillment of payments agreed during the validity of our contracts, we consider it the best for our interests," they add.

"Therefore, we demand from the FPF to respect our constitutional, sports, and economic rights in order to choose what we consider the best option when exercising our freedom to contract," they conclude, demanding that the Peruvian Football Federation respect their rights as clubs.
